However, before you start making a King Tut costume, you need to stock up on the following things – a knee length white colored kilt and a white fabric collar, white hook and loop tape that adheres to fabric, a fitted cardboard crown, gold acrylic paint and small paint brushes. You also need to buy fabric paint in various jewel colors such as ruby, turquoise, sapphire, emerald and amethyst, a soft lead pencil and a ruler for marking the fabric, fake jewels and colored stones, fabric craft glue, simple sandals and fake jewelry.

In case you want to make the kilt yourself, you can do so by hemming the fabric for the same and pleating it. You can also leave the kilt plain.
